Number Place Strategy Guide
Vertical-Horizontal Unique (VH Unique)
When a certain number can only placed in one square in either a horizontal or vertical line, that number must go in that square.
Example 1
Pay attention to the number 1 on the fourth horizontal line. Due to the influence of the circled numbers, the only place in the horizontal line that the number 1 can be placed is the blue square.
Therefore, the blue square must be 1.
This strategy uses the same idea as that of block unique, only with horizontal and vertical lines. Though the reasons remain the same, VH Uniques are slightly more difficult to find.
However, this is also a beginner strategy.
